Ceracast
Description
The previously owned Anglo American Company, Ceracast was established in the Northern Cape Province town of Postmasburg in 1984. It was one of the first companies to offer investment casting to South African mining industry and has captured a major portion of the mining market by offering high integrity castings, ready for use, or with a near net finish in conjunction with machining to exact dimensional tolerances and metallurgical specifications.
The bulk of Ceracast’s business has come from the local mining sector, to which it supplies hundreds of thousands of consumables every year – from coal borers and Drill Bits to jackhammer components and conveyor belt scrapers. Ceracast has the unique ability to adjust the metallurgy and design and enhance the physical properties with state of the art heat treatment, to customers’ specifications.
